Our current exhibition portrays Salvador Dali’s response to Francisco Goya’s Los Caprichos. Goya’s suite was published in 1799. Goya’s artworks tell his stories and his view of the social, cultural and political climate of the time. Goya and his artwork had a significant influence on Dali. Dali responded in 1977 and 1978 by adding his own surrealistic symbology and watercolours to the works.
It is a treat not to be missed! The display will be available to see at dAda mUse on 121 Cimitiere Street Launceston until March. We look forward to seeing you soon!
