Anita Denholm

" I am not a Machine " ( Poem )

A companion piece to my artwork in this competition. It speaks to the inhumanity perceived by the artist and poet, of the rush towards the use of Artificial Intelligence in our modern world. It is a plea to stop and consider humanity before embracing the AI world without hesitation. All that is new is not necessarily better!

ABOUT THE POET

Tasmanian born and bred into a strong creative family-with a lifelong fascination with literature and poetry from an early age- reading both classics and modern works alike.

Anita has used poetry to reflect her sense of meaning behind her sculptural and 2D works. A strong sense of social justice and speaking out against the status quo is typified in her as yet unpublished works.
