ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece offers thought-provoking interpretation of the theme and invites reflection on the complexities of emotional connections. I was exploring the multifaceted theme of heartbreak. It delves into the nuanced perspective that women, while capable of giving their hearts fully, do not necessarily experience the "break" often associated with heartbreak in the conventional sense. Instead, the work suggests a strength and resilience where the dynamic might be reversed, and it is the other party who could experience the breaking of their heart.

My name is Shih, commonly known as Cynthia. I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Somerset, Tasmania. Currently run my own art studio, Studio 44, on my secluded property in Somerset. Art, it is a tool for me to escape, without having to run away.
