dAda mUse

The Surrealist Art Museum is the home of Australia’s largest collection of Salvador Dalí works on paper.

The dAda mUse building is one of Launceston’s most historically noteworthy buildings. Located on Cimitiere Street, the 1842 Johnstone and Wilmot building has been carefully renovated to retain historical features while providing new spaces including the art museum.

Accessibility

Our main entrance has 5 steps and once inside there is full mobility access.

Mobility aids including wheelchairs are able to access a side entrance and lift from street level.

To make an appointment for our ground level lift access please contact us.

Tickets

Level 1 (lower floor)

Entrance to the lower floor is free of charge but donations are welcome.

Level 2 (upper floor)

Entrance to the upper floor is ticketed. This floor showcases original and rare artworks.

Entrance to the upper floor is $10.

Under 14 children are free.

Family ticket (2 adults and children 14-18yrs) is $25.

Photography

You are welcome to take photographs of your experience at dAda mUse, but please respect Australian copyright laws.

Please do not use flash photography as light can damage the artworks.

Toilets

Toilets are available on both floors of the art museum. Disability(wheelchair) toilet available on level 2.
