UK born, lived in Australia for over 45 years, and in Tasmania for 16. Dali and Magritte were my inspiration from my student years. I paint anything quirky, and I carry that into my ceramic work.
ABOUT THE PIECE
This painting, which includes 3 of my most favorite creatures (the raven, hare and octopus) have taken a voyage, as determined guests to a Tea Party. The Teacup becomes an appropriate vessel in this surrealist landscape, as they brave wild seas and unchartered waters to reach their destination. Will they get there? Probably not! The octopus is having fun though.
