Influenced by the artists experiences as a child abuse survivor, alongside societal reactions to the Covid-19 pandemic and other crises, 'Pandemia' is an evocation of the animalistic nature of humanity, which questions where and how the line between human and animal is drawn, especially in an ethical sense.
The ethereal colours and soft body lines blend seamlessly into wretched forms of human and animal alike, juxtaposing worldly beauty with the grotesque in a bitter-sweet acknowledgement of the discord between our base instincts and personal values.
