While Salvador Dali rebuffed working in the style of the old Masters and followed a Surrealist path, he was inspired by Masters such as Leonardo da Vinci. Dali artworks such as the 1955 painting The Sacrament of the Last Supper present links to da Vinci’s life and works.
In 1975 Dali created prints in honour of Leonardo da Vinci. In addition to the rare bon a tirer Hommage a Leonardo: Leonardo, Salvador Dali made a suite comprising of twelve engravings titled Hommage to Leonardo da Vinci.
