The inaugural 2D Surrealist Art Prize opened to the public on Wednesday 22 November with the Winner announced at a private function on Friday 24 November 2023. Congratulations to Elizabeth Barsham for her acrylic on canvas painting, titled Tinker’s Child.
Elizabeth Barsham says “The world is a confusing place, and my challenge is to turn all those bizarre, unexpected, and downright silly things I see and hear around me into art. My paintings draw on the history and landscapes of Tasmania, my home state, and my aim is to have as much fun as possible.”
The dAda mUse Art Prize is on display till Sunday 17 December. Visit the art museum to vote for the People’s Choice Award and make your selection count!
